These Triple Layer Crochet Flowers are pretty as a picture and they're just so incredibly versatile! Hi again! I had forgotten to mention that I am a plus size 2x-3x. Ive noticed people have questions regarding larger sizes.
And wanted to share what info I could. I followed ur pattern begining on whichever row i chose, until I felt, hmm shld I add another sts or row of this or that? I definitely know why u keep emphasizing not to focus on st count. Which is true, every size n shape will be different.
I also made a few mandalas from around the web, to get use to making bigger circles. As a practice it can even be helpful to make the toddler pattern. If anyone is anything like me, i like to know what ill be doing in advance, so its a good starter way of knowing what to expect while crocheting this beautiful pattern. I also Modified the Middle Mandala.
I picked out Mandalas on the web made it rows, then followed from row 17 of the pattern. I just enjoy creating, testing, different sts, looks etc. Everything mentioned above was only so I cld practice, it not like I have a bunch of duster jackets made, lmao.

Its just how it worked best for me. Also, my plus size Divas, u will know and feel if u have used too many or not engh stitches. So, take Row 17 as an example. Then the next row I MAY keep as pattern states or i may add a st or ch if it felt needed. I could always feel working the 1st Sts of the row if I shld give or take from the patt. I only counted stiches every 15 Rows or so.
Only to keep record for future use of the pattern for myself and family.
So where patt may have been on sts, I was on or more. Again, its just a rough example, there is no right or wrong way. I kept my notes highlighted and documented in a colored font in the PDF app. So when I make this again, I know what rows I modified. Again, I did not count all rows! Noooo way.. Any rows with size changes i needed to adjust, 1st was based from feel, then common sense and how it was looking.
When crocheting the mesh rows patt was ch3. I instead did a ch4 for 2 rows. Then 2 rows of sc ch5 sc; so on n so forth….. I will be adding a few buttons for no belt days. I will add 1 more comment with any changes i made for completing the sleeves. Been busy ,so its a when I have time wip. I love those colors.
It is so pretty. Especially the little size. The colors a pretty in it to. I may get brave and try it one day. I am into quilts right now and crop her blankets at night. Pingback: Crochet by me.
